These perspectives include those of a cage-free consultant, an academician, and business practitioners. Each speaker will explain their viewpoint regarding the growing trend of cage-free practices and why they believe that cage-free production will play a significant role in the future of the egg supply chain.

Jayasimha Nuggehalli
Co-founder and COO of

Jayasimha is currently a Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Global Food Partners, an operational executive with extensive experience in modifying supply chains to promote animal welfare in the food retail sector. Under his leadership, he conceptualizes, plans, and implements key initiatives to promote higher welfare production systems in the food sector. He’s been working in the development of innovative traceability and supply chain solutions for animal-sourced protein.

Professor at Faculty of Animal Science
Universitas Gadjah Mada
Lecturer, senior researcher and consultant in animal nutrition and feed technology since 1990. Aside from being active as an academician with great visions, Prof. Ali initiated a free-range farm in Indonesia under PT Agromix Lestari, which become the first free-range farm in Indonesia that earned the international level certification from Humane Farm Animal Care (HFAC).

Owner and CEO of
PT Inti Prima Satwa Sejahtera
PT Inti Prima Satwa Sejahtera currently holds the position of the largest cage-free farm in Indonesia, as well as the pioneer, with the total population of 60.000+ birds. Having years of experience in the poultry industry, particularly with cage-free system, he is passionate and optimistic about the future of cage-free in Indonesia.
