Food and Hospitality Industry Leaders Report Cage-Free Progress on WelfareProgress

March 29th, 2023

With cage-free commitment deadlines only a few years away, stakeholders now expect food corporations to report on their annual implementation progress. Our corporate clients frequently voice concern over the many questionnaires, trackers, and benchmarking tools on which they're being asked to report their cage-free implementation progress.

To make reporting more efficient for companies, we launched last year WelfareProgress, the first centralised cage-free reporting platform. Developed in line with guidelines and principles of the United Nations Guiding Principles Reporting Framework (UNGP RF), WelfareProgress allows companies to publicly showcase their cage-free implementation progress on a single platform, making reporting more efficient and effective.

Key animal advocacy groups—including The Humane League, Mercy for Animals, Animal Equality and Sinergia Animal—encourage cage-free egg progress reporting on WelfareProgress as a preferred alternative to their individual progress surveys and questionnaires.

Leading food and hospitality businesses from around the world are reporting on WelfareProgress, including Accor, Wyndham Destinations, SaladStop! and PT Sari Pizza from Asia, CMR from Mexico, Vapiano and Companía Argentina de Jugos from South America and Huevos Guillén from Spain.

We are thrilled with the success of WelfareProgress and invite more food and hospitality companies, around the globe, to submit their reports.
